Our Story

Old friends Rob Zahtila and Geoff Davies have long been involved in the local wine and beverages industry; Rob with his Busselton store Cape Cellars, and Geoff as sales manager at Diageo, the largest spirits company in the world.

In 2014 Liquorland bought Dunsborough's only independent liquor store, meaning choice of local products would be limited and many winemakers and breweries would lose their only retail point in the iconic town. So, the pair hatched a plan to create a bigger, better bottle shop. A store that would support local winemakers and brewers, and delight customers with great service and product knowledge.

Dunsborough Cellars opened in September 2015 and stocks over 200 wines from the Geographe and Margaret River regions, craft beers from many WA breweries plus a great range of Australian and international brands.

The team

Rob and Geoff share ordering duties, and they're always on the lookout for superb wines, whiskeys and craft beers. Geoff, Mike and their team manage and run the store; they're avid tasters and across the latest reviews and wine awards, so ask them for a recommendation.

What's important to us

It's a privilege living here and being part of the Dunsborough community. We like to give back where we can; to sports clubs, schools, community groups, fundraisers and more.

Waroona Fire Appeal

In January 2016 we invited Dunsborough and Cape Cellars Cellar Club loyalty members to donate points. We matched these points, dollar for dollar. Together we donated $6,361.84 to the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund and local volunteer fire brigades following the devastating Harvey-Waroona district fires. Read more >
